We use your information to provide and improve Travel with Scout services, including trip planning, weather forecasts, family safety features, and personalized recommendations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Location Data

Location sharing is entirely opt-in and can be disabled at any time from within the app. Location data is only shared with members of your travel group and is not stored beyond your active trip session unless you explicitly save it.

4. Data Sharing

We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the app (e.g., cloud storage, analytics). All partners are contractually required to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services on our behalf.

5. Health Information & HIPAA Notice

Travel with Scout may allow you to store health-related information such as medications, allergies, and medical conditions to assist with travel planning. Please be aware that Travel with Scout is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and does not provide healthcare services. Any health information you enter is stored solely to support your travel experience and is not shared with healthcare providers or insurers.

We strongly recommend you do not enter sensitive protected health information (PHI) beyond what is necessary for travel safety purposes. If you choose to store health details, they are encrypted and accessible only to you and members of your travel group that you explicitly share with.

6. Children's Privacy & Safety

Travel with Scout includes family features for tracking children's safety during trips. We take children's privacy seriously and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

Important Safety Notice: The SOS features, location tracking, and child safety tools within Travel with Scout are designed to assist and support parents and caregivers. These tools do not replace your responsibility as a parent or caregiver to actively supervise and keep watch over children at all times. You are always responsible for your children's safety and whereabouts. Use these features as an additional support tool, not as a substitute for direct supervision and parental judgment.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also export your trip data from within the app settings.
