1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Travel with Scout, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Use of the App

Travel with Scout is intended for personal, non-commercial use to assist with trip planning and travel management. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access unauthorized data, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

4. Premium Subscription

Some features require a paid Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and are subject to its terms. Refunds are handled per the policies of the App Store. You may cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create within the app (trip notes, photos, etc.). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

6. Third-Party Services

Travel with Scout integrates with third-party services (weather, maps, flight data, etc.). We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data. Use of those services is subject to their respective terms.

7. Parental Supervision & Child Safety Disclaimer

Travel with Scout's SOS features, location tracking, and child safety tools do not replace a parent's or caregiver's responsibility to actively supervise and keep watch over children. While these features are designed to assist you in monitoring and communicating with children during travel, they should never be relied upon as a substitute for direct supervision.

Parents and caregivers remain fully responsible for keeping children in sight, maintaining awareness of their location and activities, and making all decisions regarding child safety. Use of these tools does not diminish your obligation to provide proper supervision, and Travel with Scout shall not be liable for any harm that results from inadequate supervision or misuse of these features.

8. Not a Medical Service — Important Disclaimer

Travel with Scout does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Features such as healthcare facility finders, medication reminders, health notes, and travel health advisories are provided for informational and organizational convenience only.

The information provided through the app does not replace the advice of a licensed medical professional. Always consult a qualified physician, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider for any medical questions or concerns before and during your travels. In an emergency, call local emergency services immediately — do not rely solely on this app.

Travel with Scout is not a HIPAA-covered entity and is not liable for any health decisions made based on information within the app.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information provided (weather, advisories, etc.) will always be accurate or up to date.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travel with Scout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including travel decisions made based on app content.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes within the app.
